In 1995, Dutch jeweller, Jan Van Schaik discovered the combined beauty of genuine black rubber and silver whilst on holiday in Bali, the “Paradise Island”. Then, he has already been in the jewellery business for over 30 years in Europe. Jan, also known as “Jan the rubber man”, works with a team of talented Balinese & Javanese silversmiths. The silver Jan uses is of the finest quality (925 sterling silver) and combined with genuine black rubber and the ingenious clasps, Jan creates unique designs.

He sometimes embellishes his designs with semi-precious stones such as garnets, black onyx, turquoise, cubic zirconia and peridots.
